The Cutter Suction Dredger, a steel-constructed and non-self-propelled, dismountable vessel, is designed for berthing and dredging in various waters, including coastal areas and inland rivers. It can operate under conditions similar to or better than those specified in navigation area "A" or below the "A"-line in China's inland river steel engineering ship manufacture code.
This dredger is capable of excavating and transporting cohesive sediment up to class III, as per the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by China's Ministry of Water Resources.
The dredger's hull comprises three pontoons: a main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. These components are dimensioned for easy transportation via road, rail, or water. The pontoons feature a rapid connection-disconnection system using bolts at deck level, the hull's front and rear, and hooks at the bottom.
Powered by a marine engine, the main engine drives both the dredge pump and the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, operates other equipment such as the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely of welded steel, the hull offers the necessary strength for dredging operations. The side pontoons are bolted to the main pontoon, and the hull is made of CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate), ensuring durability and reliability in challenging dredging environments.
