1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted with robust steel construction, is a non-self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It is engineered to berth and dredge effectively in coastal waters and inland rivers, adhering to the stringent navigation area 'A' or below 'A'-line standards set by the P. R. China code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture.
This dredger excels in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, complying with class III specifications in the dredging engineering construction techniques issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The versatile hull is composed of three pontoons: one main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. Each part is meticulously dimensioned for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. The YS-CSD450 model boasts a swift connection-disconnection system for the pontoons, utilizing bolts at the deck level, hull front and rear, and bottom hooks. Notably, the dredger is powered by a robust Marine engine, with the main engine driving both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all other equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength to withstand rigorous dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts.
The hull steel plate utilized is CCSB (shipbuilding grade steel plate).
