1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel and featuring a non-self-propelled, dismountable design, excels in berthing and dredging across diverse waters, be it coastal areas or inland rivers. It meets similar standards to those outlined for navigation area 'A' or below the 'A'-line as specified in the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger is adept at excavating and transporting cohesive sediment below Class III, as detailed in the dredging engineering construction technique code issued by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull is intelligently segmented into three pontoons: a central main pontoon (housing the engine room) and two side pontoons. The YS-CSD450 dredger's dimensions ensure seamless transport by road, rail, or water. Featuring a quick connection-disconnection system, the pontoons are easily joined with bolts at deck level, front and rear of the hull, and hooks at the bottom. The dredger is powered by a robust marine engine, which drives the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all auxiliary equipment, including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely of welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are securely fastened to the main pontoon using bolts.
The steel plate used for the hull construction is CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate), ensuring exceptional durability and strength.
