1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, constructed with robust steel and designed for non self-propulsion and easy disassembly, is a versatile vessel capable of berthing and dredging in various waters, including coastal regions and inland rivers. It adheres to the stringent requirements of navigation area 'A' or below, as specified in the Code for Inland River Steel Engineering Ship Manufacture of P. R. China.
This dredger is engineered to excavate and transport cohesive sediments, in accordance with the Class III standards set by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China for dredging engineering construction techniques.
The hull of the YS-CSD450 dredger is an ingenious assembly of three pontoons: one main pontoon housing the engine room and two side pontoons. The design allows for seamless transportation by road, rail, or water. Featuring a rapid connection-disconnection system, the pontoons are securely fastened with bolts at deck level, hull front and rear, and hooked at the bottom. This dredger is powered by a high-performance Marine engine, which drives both the dredge pump and hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all essential equipment including the cutter, swing, ladder winches, and spud rams.
The hull's all-welded, steel construction ensures the structural integrity necessary for demanding dredging operations. The side pontoons are bolted to the main pontoon for additional strength.
The hull utilizes CCSB (shipbuilding steel plate) for superior durability.
