1. Introduction:
The Cutter Suction Dredger, crafted from robust steel construction, is a non self-propelled, dismountable marvel. It is designed to adeptly berth and dredge in various aquatic environments, including coastal areas and inland rivers, adhering to navigation standards of area 'A' or those specified below the 'A'-line in the code for inland river steel engineering ship manufacture of P. R. China.
This versatile dredger is proficient in excavating and transporting cohesive sediments, as defined under class III in the code for dredging engineering construction technique by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of P. R. China.
The hull features a modular design with three main pontoons: a central main pontoon (engine room) and two side pontoons. Engineered for seamless transport via road, rail, or water, the YS-CSD450 dredger boasts a rapid connection-disconnection system, secured with bolts at the deck, hull front, rear, and hooks at the bottom. It is powered by a Marine engine, with the main engine driving both the dredge and hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pump, in turn, powers all onboard equipment including the cutter, swing and ladder winches, and the spud rams.
Constructed entirely from welded steel, the hull provides the necessary strength for intensive dredging operations. Side pontoons are securely connected to the main pontoon using bolts, ensuring structural integrity.
